Within the organization, the SSE Control Plane team builds and operates core control-plane services for Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access. The team focuses on key microservices that support Unified Policy and the Distribution Engine. Team members work closely with other Cloud Security Engineering teams and engineering groups across Cisco. The environment supports learning, experimentation, and solving high-impact security challenges. Your Impact Shape the architecture,design, development, and operation of backend microservices for the SSE Control Plane as a Software Engineering Technical Leader. Architect, build, and optimize scalable applications and APIs, using AI-assisted development tools across the software development lifecycle. Engineer reliable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to improve the transition from development to production. Maintain system health and security through proactive monitoring, cross-platform troubleshooting, and participation in on-call rotations.
